Social Inclusion
The Social Inclusion Program is an approach to teasing, bullying and
social issues developed by Kim John Payne for school communities.
It involves not only the school personnel but the entire community.
Interested personnel drawn from administration, the teaching and
support staff, willing parents, and students from grade 7 up are
trained to run the various aspects of the program and bring a
community-based approach to the problem of teasing, bullying and social
exclusion.
Jan has been trained in the Social Inclusion approach as part of her
Waldorf Collaborative Counselor Certification through Antioch Graduate
School in New Hampshire. She was the coordinator for the first
year of the implementation of the Program at the Vancouver Waldorf
School and responsible for the training of the student support group.
